And Now we begin - Jacques Dequeker

This is the start. My initiation. The Kickoff.
However, as I currently have no 'followers' it is a somewhat lonely opening - this is essentially more of a diary than a blog at the moment...
But we shall fashionably mosey on, for it's time for me to put my money where my mouth is...

Jacques Dequeker
Once Upon a time there was a photographer named Jacques Dequeker. Weary of traditional flat photography Jacques jumped Roger Rabbit stylee into a three dimensional world, creating contemporary 3D fashion photography that require you to wear those funky cardboard red and blue glasses (really it's only a matter of time until these are a huge trend you know).

(Not a Jacques Dequeker)

Jacques shot a series of sinister images for his magazine, the KRTL Collective, that are both deeply disturbing and alarmingly beautiful. Seen in 2D his photos are still pretty magic, but once you don the glasses you are escorted down to chilling depths. It's a bit like living in a Donnie Darko movie but with less clothes and bigger hair (Just what the film needed in my opinion).

Jaques' most recent 3D shoot is for the Ellus Winter 2010 Lookbook, and sees Jesus Luz (think Madonna) and Cintia Dicker in the throngs of passion. It looks extra naughty in 3D and is actually pretty thrilling, almost making me forget about the clothes..

(Jacques Dequeker is also widely celebrated for his underwater photography - of which is rather spectacular and definitely worth checking out)

Introduction

Hi! Nice to meet you. I mean, we've never met before but I'm sure you're lovely. Welcome to my blog - Let me introduce myself ...

First things first, my name is Jo, I am a former fashion student currently working as a freelance fashion designer and illustrator (Bands, stagewear, etc) and Illustrator (If you can draw on it I'm interested).
The details are left vague to protect me from stalkers and the like - although having a stalker does sound pretty glam...
My aim is to provide a blogging montage (Blogtage?) Of fashion, Illustration, art, photography, and any other delicious treats that may take my fancy.
This will be fully illustrated (as much as my time restraints allow), and will hopefully draw all of the most creative people in to something a bit different to the standard photographic blogs.

There is too much commerciality around you see ...
An abundance of tedium and prosiac vapidity in a world so filled with latent genius - it doesn't have to be this way!
So grab your Purple Magazine, slip into your V & R chainsaw chiffon and kick back your Comme brogues (you know the gold ones with toes painted on them? * Want want want *)

Surrender yourself to the fanciful, the innovative, the bizarre.
Be What they don't understand ...
